Yes, started. Not finished.
Okay, it's an old idea, one that's been popping around in my brain so long it's becoming a bit rancid, so the 40,000 or so words that had once been tucked into the digital file have been ruthlessly trimmed to 18,722 as of this morning.
I refuse to believe all the previous effort is wasted, however, and I will simply consider it a jump start on a new novel. I've set my goal at 80,000 words, but I imagine it will be somewhere between 80K and 100K when I'm finished.
So there you go. I am starting a book today that is already 23% completed. Yea for me.
Most of the oddball musings you will find on these pages are either the result of a random writing prompt, a childish dare - likely from a child, or an idea sparked by a random happening or muse. The rest are likely just the ramblings of a somewhat senseless mind or the recording of some tidbit deemed useful or inspiring. Enjoy your visit!

About the Labels
Those pages labeled "writing prompt" were written, usually in haste and with little to no editing, from a random writing prompt that was probably picked up from the internet somewhere.
The "inspired" posts are just what they sound like - inspired by dreams, actual events, or possibly even by reading and/or watching another piece of fiction. Although I'm sure all ideas are inspired in some fashion, the "imagination" series are plucked straight from my brain, and I really have no idea what sort thing might have spawned it.
If you want to read about my current novel's "progress" you are welcome to, or you can also read about those interesting tidbits that would tell you more "about me".
Or, perhaps, you would just like to see those "resources" I have found useful, at least in some moment of inspiration, if not a tool I use frequently.
